The Ministry of Culture of Armenia invited famed choreographer Yuri Grigorovich to perform “Spartacus” ballet in Armenia on the stage of the National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre after Al. Spendiaryan. Legendary choreographer demonstrated his willingness to contribute his share in that noble undertaking. The very dancing “cluster” Yuri Grigorovich worked with, the very pleiad of talented ballet-dancers commemorated the new chapter in the “life” of “Spartacus” –– the revival of the ballet in its author’s homeland. The premiere of “Spartacus”by Yuri Grigorovich in Yerevan took place on May 5, 2009.
